Nice job on all the designs, but I wouldn't post anything here. Some jerk might steal your ideas.

No, it'll be alright. If someone steals a design from here and it ends up winning, we can simply show them this post as proof.

i really love the first one but i think the second one has more chances to be included in the game because it is more simple. The very complex design of the first one won't probably be as cool as that one when included in game.
Btw what do you use to create that ? I'd really try to create one myself and i tried with bryce and 3Dstudio max but it is very complicated and not adapted for game design i think.

the first one looks too fancy, so No.2 would be my pick. It looks really good and i honestly cant see warriors carrying around #1 ingame and looking as good as it does there

You need not keep your weapon or shield concepts within the boundaries of the Tyria that we know so well. In the coming chapter, there will be new professions and new regions that have not yet been explored. Feel free to engage in an artistic flight of fancy and to include art influences from around the globe in your weapon or shield design!

Here's an update on my sword blade (only for now). Haven't spent really much time with it yet.. an hour or so. Made a quick 3D model as well. This is just a texture, I guess.
I must say I haven't really done something like this before, so I quite enjoy doing this for the first time.

http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?i...enlarge6rd.jpg
Are these showing? Ok, the first one is the original, MS Paint sword. The second one is the same, just enlarged in Photoshop CS. A little too big, just click the link. They're both a little fuzzy because they're JPEGs. The enlarged will be the one I'm sending.
Why did I use MS Paint? Because I can only do signatures and pictures in Photoshop CS. I can't draw in that program. I have alot more experience in MS Paint, and I think most of the stuff I draw turns out pretty good. This is pretty good too, in my opinion.
But I still look in awe upon those who can use Photoshop to do swords like wolverines. Granted, it's not done and I could make a shiney blade too, but not at ALL as good and detailed as that.
Very good job all.
Name of the sword? Not sure, thinking of "Moonpool Blade".

I don't think you guys read this:
Quote:
The use of color in your submitted image is entirely your choice. Because Guild Wars weapons are dyeable, color is less significant than design, so a black and white image is as likely to win as a color image.

So I do not know why you guys are caring too much about texture... ><
I am going to draw mine on a peice of paper and pencil and send to them since I do not have any Maya, 3DMax or Photoshop skills... Just playing drawing on paper =)
Good luck for you guys!
By the way, here it is a hint: Stop making swords because its more likely that 90% of the people are going to draw one...
Staff, here I draw! :P
